ABOUT TIM WHITTINGTON PSYCHOLOGY
Experience Change with
Tim Whittington Psychology
I am passionate about helping individuals make positive changes in their lives. I also have a special interest in recovery from addiction and my clinical experience is substantial in this regard.
My expertise as a Psychologist is vast spanning my 23 years of experience working predominantly in general mental health, acute mental health, disability, neurodivergence, NDIS, addiction and recovery, trauma and complex PTSD, relationship issues and domestic violence, forensics, criminality, and personality disorders. I also have substantial experience working with forensic populations within Corrective Services in both community and custodial settings.

My most recent clinical experience is in working as a Senior Psychologist for a specialised Drug and Alcohol Service where I provided drug and alcohol specific assessment as well as recovery focused therapies at the individual and group level.

One of my passions is clinical supervision. I am Board Approved in this regard and have recently completed Masterclass Training for a second time. I thoroughly enjoy supporting new Psychologists into the profession, watching them grow and learn, and helping them to develop into competent and confident therapists.

I also have significant experience working in teams where I have effectively managed people, achieved high performance, and facilitated positive change in workplace culture and dynamic. I have completed vast training in leadership and management and, coupled with my direct experience working in this capacity, I have developed a recipe for effective leadership and change management that I am excited to impart onto others.
